However, big failing is that snow mode only works in auto - if you switch to manual it turns off snow mode. Most people prefer extra control of manual shifting when driving in snow, so mode configuration not ideal. paul__k Premium Member

WebThe 10 row cooler is too small for a tuned R on track. I was still getting into the high 260’s at a small auto cross track. The pressure valve in it doesn’t seem to work perfectly. It’ll open up before I get to temp on the roads and it’s a pain. Add a custom larger cooler and a manual shutoff valve and I think it’s the nicest solution. WebGolf R is an amazing daily driver. Decent gas mileage (depending upon how you drive and how much the car is modded). Dun to drive (especially with a stage 1 tune - “how it should have come from the factory”). AWD is safe and highly capable. Very comfortable car.
WebInterestingly, the 19" Prets are actually slightly lighter than the 18" Prets, as the 19's are flow formed, and the 18's are just normal cast wheels. If you never have experienced AWD before it's a little scarry felling the back end push your around tight corners at first, but you quickly learn it.
