Webcapping your FPS at 165 is what v/gsync does, don't do it. Sorry to bring back a dead thread but this isn't quite correct. Vsync syncs up your frames to your monitor so a 165hz monitor will cap at 165fps but most importantly they will be lockstep with your refresh rate, eliminating screen tearing at a cost of slight input lag.
