Syntaktisches bootstrapping
WebJan 13, 2024 · Bootstrapping is a statistical technique that falls under the broader heading of resampling. This technique involves a relatively simple procedure but repeated so many times that it is heavily dependent upon computer calculations. Bootstrapping provides a method other than confidence intervals to estimate a population parameter. Bootstrapping is any test or metric that uses random sampling with replacement (e.g. mimicking the sampling process), and falls under the broader class of resampling methods. Bootstrapping assigns measures of accuracy (bias, variance, confidence intervals, prediction error, etc.) to sample estimates. This technique allows estimation of the sampling distribution of almost any statistic using random sampling methods.

WebJan 6, 2024 · Example of Bootstrapping. Bootstrapping is a powerful statistical technique. It is especially useful when the sample size that we are working with is small. Under usual circumstances, sample sizes of less than 40 cannot be dealt with by assuming a normal distribution or a t distribution. Bootstrap techniques work quite well with samples that ...
