WebMar 17, 2024 · Running an i7-1280p in a ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7. Takes over 22 minutes to build a Ubuntu 21.10 client. Ugh. Same build on my X1YG6 i7-1185G7 takes 5 minutes. Both machines 32GB Ram, 2TB Gen 4 NVMe SSD, Win 11 fully updated. The .vmx addition below helps a lot - gets it down to 12 minutes, but still not what it should be.
